A cruel pet owner neglected his blind and deaf dog so severely that when she was rescued she was "living in her own faeces".
The Fox Terrier cross called Brandy also had an enlarged eye, an ingrown and infected toenail causing an abscess, advanced dental disease, ear infections and roundworm infestation.
Sadly due to the horrific state of health, a culmination of a long period of neglect, she had to be put to sleep, Mail Online reports.
Brandy's owner Geoffrey Mortensen admitted two counts of ill-treating an animal over his failure to mitigate the harm suffered by the dog.
RSPCA officers rescued Brandy from her home in Adelaide, Australia, in 2017.

The court heard a statement from chief veterinarian Brad Ward who said Brandy would have suffered a very high degree of pain over a long period of time.
RSPCA chief inspector Andrea Lewis said the level of neglect Brandy endured was among the worst she had seen.
She said: "This was an older dog, blind, deaf and totally vulnerable, who was completely abandoned by her owners when she needed them the most.
Mortensen, 54, was give a six month suspended jail sentence, a two-year good-behaviour bond and has been baned from being a pet owner until further notice.
