'Blessing in disguise' - Nottingham Forest fans react to Reading postponement

Referee Geoff Eltringham’s decision to call Nottingham Forest’s Championship game with Reading off, could be a blessing in disguise. 

That’s according to some Forest supporters, who feel having an extra week to try and get key players fit can only be a good thing for Sabri Lamouchi and his squad with the busy Christmas period not too far away.

Head coach Lamouchi has been unable to call upon influential figures Michael Dawson, Samba Sow and Alfa Semedo in recent weeks, and Saturday’s postponement will give those players an extra period of rest and recovery before the visit to Luton next weekend. 

While there was understandably some frustration from fans hoping to see their side return to winning ways at the City Ground after two straight defeats in the past week, many were understanding of the dreadful conditions and the need to have player safety at the forefront of any decision.
