‘Bleeding’ 3D-printed hearts train surgeons for performing transplants: Tech & Science Daily podcast

Scientists at Nottingham Trent University have created realistic-looking models of diseased hearts and lungs to train surgeons for performing transplants.

The team built the 3D-printed fake organs scanned from real hearts using silicone gels so they beat, bleed and breathe like real organs.
