ANAHEIM, Calif. – Nate Diaz kicked off his first fight week in three years in true Nate Diaz fashion during UFC 241 open workouts on Wednesday.
Diaz walked out on stage to a massive ovation from fans at Honda Center. 2Pac’s “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” blared. Diaz shadow boxed and strolled around for a a couple of minutes.
And then Diaz lit up a joint.
That’s right, someone from Diaz’s crew handed him a joint, and he smoked out. Forget working out. The crowd loved it. And he even passed the joint to someone in the crowd.
It was an all-time peak Diaz moment.
Afterward during his media scrum, Diaz said the joint was CBD from his own line, Game Up Nutrition. Because, you know, fighters can’t be smoking marijuana with THC until after fight night (wink wink).
All I can tell you is what it smelled like. It smelled like straight-up weed.
Either way, it’s nice to have Diaz back.
