Blaze breaks out in Fishponds kitchen

Emergency crews dealt with a blaze in a kitchen in Fishponds this evening (January 6)

Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to Brook Road at around 5.04pm.

Crews used high-pressured hose reels to extinguish the flames.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Temple and Kingswood fire stations were in attendance.

"A fire broke out in the kitchen area of a property - all persons were accounted for.

"Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used.

"Police and ambulance were in attendance."

A witness, who took pictures of emergency crews at the scene, told Bristol Live: "There's a fire at top end of Brook Road."
