After the exhilarating end to the IEM Cologne 2026 Major with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač’s first major trophy, and the subsequent player break, Counter-Strike is returning to the S-Tier once more. BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 kicks off a new season of CS2 pro play in 2026, with 32 teams competing across the bracket to earn their spot at the Malta LAN finals.
With a brand new patch, bringing back Cache to the map pool alongside changes to C4 explosions, the event is set to give fans their first view of how the new meta plays out. Here is everything you need to know about BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026.
BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 venue & important dates
Like previous Bounty seasons, the event will kick off with an online stage where 32 teams will fight for berths in the LAN finals. The LAN finals, to be held in Malta, will see the top eight compete for the trophy at the BLAST Arena Studios.

The tournament spans thirteen days in total, with a three day break between the online stage and LAN finals allowing the top eight to travel to Malta.

BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 format explained
While Bounty is set to change heading into 2027, the second 2026 edition sees little difference from the original concept. The format sees 32 teams enter the battle with eight playoffs berths on the line. The underdogs (bottom 16) are given their choice of opponents in BLAST’s signature Draft Show.
Each of the top 16 teams comes into the tournament with a bounty on their head, and whenever an underdog upsets the favorite they earn that bounty. Half of the bounty amount goes to the upsetting underdog’s prize winnings, while the other half becomes their bounty instead. Through this unique mechanism, BLAST distributes its prize pool (which goes hand in hand with VRS ranking points) across the field of teams.
