BLAST Premier has unveiled the location for BLAST Premier Open Season 2, following the conclusion of the first season’s Open in Rotterdam on March 29. Portugal’s fourth appearance on the BLAST calendar will see the best teams in the world head to the country’s second-largest city, Porto.
Like most BLAST tournaments of the VRS-era, the event’s group stage will take place at the TO’s Copenhagen studios. 16 teams will battle it out for their ticket to the Super Bock Arena. The tournament, supported by Turismo de Portugal, will feature a $1.1 Million prize pool split between the player’s share and that of the clubs ($400,000 and $700,000 respectively). The tournament kicks off on Aug. 26, with the arena portion of the event running from Sept. 4 to 6.

Porto joins Chek Lap Kok and Fort Worth on BLAST 2026 calendar
The tournament sees the first BLAST stop at Porto, with the previous three (2018, 2022, 2025) all taking place in the capital city of Portugal. Porto joins an already diverse set of events for BLAST in 2026, with Rotterdam and Fort Worth, Texas preceding the Portugese event, and Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong following shortly after.

“Bringing BLAST Premier back to Portugal is a special moment for us. Portugal has consistently delivered events with some of the most passionate Counter-Strike fans in the world, and bringing our events to Porto for the first time is another exciting step in a milestone year for BLAST Premier,” said, Anne Banschbach, Programme Director for BLAST Premier.

The Super Bock Arena’s maximum capacity of 8,000 should result in a crowd of around 6,000 fans once the stage setup is taken into account (usually 25-33% less than maximum), but exact details for tickets, pre-sale and more will be revealed on BLAST’s official social media channels closer to the event’s dates.
