Blantyre Vics forced to give up home advantage to Hurlford in West of Scotland League opener

Blantyre Vics have been forced to switch venues for their West of Scotland League Premier clash with Hurlford this weekend.

The Premier Division opener was due to take place at the Vics' home ground of Castle Park, but due to essential maintenance the venue will be unable to host the big game and Vics have handed home advantage to the Ayrshire outfit so the game can go ahead.

Saturday's game, which is a 2pm kick-off, has been reversed and will take place at Hurlford's Blair Park in Kilmarnock.

There is no change to the kick-off time.

It's the second blow to Blantyre in a few days after star midfielder Ross Caldwell jumped ship to league rivals Darvel.
