Blantyre teachers record version of hit by Bruno Mars for pupils

You can count on us!

That was the message staff at Kear Campus in Blantyre sent to pupils.

Thy decided to each record a snippet of Bruno Mars’ Count on Me whilst in lockdown in their homes, and put it together in a fab and fun video.

And the end result was very well received by pupils and their parents/carers as staff told them ‘you can count on us’.

A spokesperson for the campus, which is based in Bardykes Road, told the Advertiser: “The video was just a  special message from all of our primary team here at Kear!

“We are missing you all and hope you’re all keeping safe – we’re here when you need us!”

Kear Campus was opened in May 2013 and it comprises the former Kittoch and Ridgepark Schools as well as education specialist placements and alternatives to care provision.

And Kear Secondary includes six general classrooms as well as bespoke areas for the teaching of science, home economics, hair and beauty, business and ICT & technical craft.

There is also a separate primary unit provision including another two general classrooms which offer more intensive support to pupils.
