Blantyre 'shooting' victim pictured as tributes pour in after 'targeted' attack

This is the first picture of a man who died in an alleged shooting outside a house in Blantyre.

Tragic Graham Williamson, 26, died after being 'shot' in an early evening 'targeted' attack.

We told earlier that emergency services raced to the scene in Caithness Street, Blantyre at 5pm on Monday evening after reports of a disturbance outside a house, involving an alleged firearm.

It is understood Graham was injured during the incident and was rushed to University  Hospital Wishaw, where he died a short time later.

Police are treating the death as 'suspicious' and believe it to be a 'targeted attack'.

Tributes have already poured in online for the young dad.

One said: "Absolutely heart broken. Rest in peace Graham so happy to have shared the memory’s a did with you growing up you will be sorely missed and we will help look after your boy and Ajay always."

Another said: "Heartbreaking. Such a shame."

A post mortem will take place to establish the exact cause of his death and enquiries are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed: "Officers are in the area to provide public reassurance.

"Any information about the incident can be passed to officers at the scene or via 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. "
