A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a woman in Blantyre.
The pair have been taken into custody after the 41-year-old was targeted in the South Lanarkshire town yesterday afternoon.
Local eyewitnesses reported a police presence near to a taped off area of woodland near Parkville Drive yesterday as officers guarded the street for several hours.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "At around 1pm on Sunday June 9, police were called to the report of a robbery of a 41-year-old woman in Blantyre.
"A 37-year-old man and a 36 year old woman were arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing."
