Police probing the murder of a Blantyre shooting victim revealed they were given "helpful" information by the public after returning to the scene one week after the brutal death.
Graham "Kermit" Williamson, 26, was in the back gardens at his home in Caithness Street when he was gunned down by a man who approached him from behind.
The dad was raced to the University Hospital in Wishaw but died a short time later.
Officers went back to the street yesterday evening and spoke to over 50 people, saying the visits were "helpful" as they were able to gather new information.
A number of pedestrians and motorists were spoken to.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Jamieson, Major Investigation Teams, said: "Last night's operation was helpful in terms of information passed to officers.
"People sometimes don't realise they have information that can help investigations, so it is always good to have officers return to the scene and speak to people who live, work or socialise in the area and to ask them about what happened and how they can help.
"As I have said before, people are shocked and very upset by what has happened and we have been really encouraged by the response from the public so far."
Police believe a dark blue Skoda was in the area at the time of the attack.
Officers also think the motor, which could have been an estate car, sped off after the shooting in the direction of Blantyre Main Street.
It could have also passed Douglas Street, or the expressway, or other surrounding roads.
High visibility officers are patrolling the area and urge locals to speak to them should they have information.
Police are thinking members of the public who have helped with their investigation so far and are asking anyone with information who hasn't yet come forward to do so.
Jamieson previously said: "From our enquires, we believe now that a dark blue Skoda car, a newer model, possibly an estate car, was in the area at the time of the shooting.
"It was seen to drive off at speed after the attack in the direction of Blantyre Main Street, possibly towards Douglas Street and maybe the expressway or other roads nearby.
"Whether linked to the incident or not, we are still interested in speaking to its occupants or indeed anyone who may have seen the car, or who may be has dash-cam footage of it in Caithness Street, either before or afterwards, or in streets close by.
"As said before, it is imperative we catch those responsible for Graham’s murder.
"We have set up a dedicated website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information direct to the major incident teams based at the Scottish Crime Campus.
