Jobby alert as 'accidental floater' forces four-day closure of Blantyre Leisure Centre pool

Blantyre Leisure Centre swimming pool has been forced to close for up to four days following an ‘accidental contamination’.

South Lanarkshire Council confirmed the pool was closed after the incident this morning (Friday, January 17).

On Twitter, the council posted that the pool may be closed until Tuesday.

They posted: "Blantyre Leisure Centre swimming pool has had to be closed due to an 'accidental contamination'.

"Unfortunately the pool is unlikely to open again until 6.30am on Tuesday 21 January in line with procedures for such instances.

"We apologise for any inconvenience during the closure."
