Community group Bonnie Blantyre are working hard to sweeten up the town this Christmas.
For the busy little bees - who are often spotted buzzing around the streets in their bee costumes, doing various fun community projects - will deliver a selection box to every Blantyre pupil before the children finish up for the holidays.
It's just another example of the fabulous work the volunteers do in spreading cheer across their community all year round.
A spokeswoman fro Bonnie Blantyre told Lanarkshire Live : "We are absolutely delighted to share some fabulous news with you all!
"Thanks to some very, very kind hearted people, we are providing all Blantyre primary and nursery School children with a selection box this Christmas! How amazing is that?
"This is all thanks to Gavin Watson Printers, Upload Abode Estate Agents, Premier Mo's Blantyre, Darcey Quigley & Co. and Steven and Alison Timoney, owners of Crossbasket Castle.
"We thought our wee ones deserved a sweet treat and these lovely people agreed and got right behind us and we are completely touched by their generosity."
Over the next few weeks Bonnie Blantyre will distribute 2500 selection boxes to every school and nursery in the town.
