Blantryre Library closes its doors after customer tests positive for coronavirus

Blantyre Library has temporarily closed its doors due to the coronavirus.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture posted on their Facebook page that the library, which is based in the Clydeview Shopping Centre, will be closed for the rest of today (Thursday, October 22).

The post states: “Due to a customer having tested positive for Covid-19, Blantyre library has to close for the rest of today, Thursday 22, and possibly tomorrow.

“The nearest alternative facility would be Hamilton Town House Library.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
