The first pictures have been released for [BLANK] at the Donmar Warehouse.
Alice Birch’s new play, which opens tomorrow, is a co-production with theatre company Clean Break, being staged in honour of its 40th anniversary.
The experimental piece is comprised of 100 unnamed scenes that explore the impact of the criminal justice system on women.
The cast includes Ayesha Antoine, Shona Babayemi, Sophia Brown, Jackie Clune, Grace Doherty, Lucy Edkins, Zaris-Angel Hator, Zainab Hasan, Joanna Horton, Thusitha Jayasundera, Petra Letang, Leah Mondesir-Simmonds, Kate O’Flynn, Ashna Rabheru, Jemima Rooper and Taya Tower.
It is the latest show in Michael Longhurst’s inaugural season as the Donmar’s artistic director and is directed by Maria Aberg. There are designs by Rosie Elnile, lighting by Jess Bernberg, sound by Carolyn Downing, video by Heta Multanen, fight direction by Rachel Bown-Williams and movement by Ayse Tashkiran.
Clean Break is an organisation dedicated to helping women who have come into contact with the criminal justice system tell their stories.
