Blane Hyland will make his professional debut later this month.
The southpaw claimed a Junior ABA Championship, a Senior Tri-Nations gold medal and places in two ABA finals as well as selection for Great Britain in the vest and headguard.
Hyland has since turned to the paid code, inking a deal with management supremos MTK Global, and has now been given a date for his first fight for pay.
He is set to be in action on September 28 at the Eagles Community Arena in Newcastle.
The card is a stellar one which is set to feature former British super-bantamweight champion Tommy Ward and cruiserweight Simon Vallily, who was stopped by Scouser Craig Glover back in October last year but has since bounced back with a pair of inside-the-distance wins.
Chad Ellis, Darren Reay, Joe Laws and Terry Wilkinson - the latter duo of whom will feature on the undercard of Robbie Davies Jr.’s clash against Lewis Ritson at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on October 19 - are also on the card, alongside a whole host of other local talents.
