It was clarified that such discussions did not take place on that particular day. The focus then shifted to the retainer agreement, or lack thereof, for Cohen's legal services. Blanche meticulously went through the process that led to Cohen being paid $420,000 in 2017, a figure that Cohen attributed to his collaboration with Alan Weisselberg.
