Blake Lively made a return to this year’s Met Gala, just hours after settling her long and bitter legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
Wearing archival Versace, Lively stepped out in a pastel-coloured with a bejewelled bodice and a long, ruffled train — marking her first appearance at the fashion event since she co-chaired it in 2022.

Lively’s appearance came amid headlines that she’d reached a settlement with Baldoni, who she was due to face-off against in a New York trial later this month before their legal teams shared a joint statement settling the case this morning.
“The end product – the movie It Ends With Us – is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the pair’s legal teams said in a joint statement announcing the deal, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind,” they added.
It brings an end to the years-long legal feud that kicked off in late 2024, when Lively accused Baldoni, who also directed It Ends With Us, of sexual harassment during the production of the film, and of orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign.

Last month, a few weeks before the case was to go to trial, a judge dismissed 10 out of the 13 claims Lively had levelled against Baldoni, including the allegations of sexual assault.
Lively did not address the headlines while appearing at the Met Gala today, but did stop to chat with Vogue on the red carpet about her bag, which featured art from her four kids with fellow actor Ryan Reynolds.
The Deadpool star co-chaired the Met Gala along with Lively, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Regina King in 2022, but did not attend this year’s event.
The 2026 Met Gala is co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez named as honorary co-chairs.
