Nov. 13--Blake Griffin said he didn't want to hide from the Clippers' loss to San Antonio on Monday.
In that game, the Clippers blew a 10-point advantage and the Spurs went on a 12-0 run over a five-minute stretch at the end of the fourth quarter.
"I probably watched our last game three or four times," Griffin said.
Griffin said that his takeaway from the game overall was pretty positive.
"I had two terrible, terrible turnovers, mistakes, and even defensively should have done something better, but very correctable mistakes towards the end of the game," he said.
Doc Rivers said that overall he was impressed with how the team played as well.
"I love how we played for 45 minutes," Rivers said. "We didn't close the game out. I like where we're trending."
The Clippers outrebounded the Spurs, 44-39, the first time they've won the battle of the boards this season. They also showed signs of improvement defensively, holding the Spurs to 39.8% shooting.
It's unclear, however, whether the Clippers' defense was actually that good or the Spurs' offense in the game was just that bad.
Chris Paul thinks it was a bit of both.
"I think in the first half they got a lot of open looks and just missed them," Paul said. "But our defense was still pretty good."
