Blake Griffin says Clippers can beat San Antonio Spurs in Game 6

April 29--The Clippers will face an elimination Game 6 in San Antonio on Thursday after losing to the Spurs, 111-107, at Staples Center on Tuesday.

"It's a get-able game," Griffin said. "It's not going to be easy by any means. I mean, this is what they do. They're a great team, a well-coached team, and they've been in this situation before.

"But we've also been in tough situations. We've also played through some tough games, some games on the road that we needed to win, and we did. I expect us to be ready."

Even though the Clippers gave up a 3-2 lead in their best-of-seven, first-round playoff series against the Spurs, who have won five NBA championships, including one last season, the Clippers believe they can beat the Spurs in San Antonio.

The Clippers have already won a game in San Antonio, getting a 114-105 victory in Game 4 on Sunday. The Clippers also beat the Spurs in Game 1 at Staples Center on April 19, 107-92. And two of the Clippers' three losses to the Spurs in the series came down to the final minute -- Tuesday's loss and a 111-107 overtime loss to the Spurs in Game 2 on April 22.

"It's tough, we can't get it back now, we can't replay it," Chris Paul said of the Clippers' close losses to the Spurs. "We've got to go to San Antonio and play with a sense of urgency."

Tuesday's loss came down to the wire -- with 4.9 seconds left and the Spurs up, 108-107, DeAndre Jordan tipped it in, but the referees called offensive interference and waved off the bucket.

The Clippers then immediately fouled Danny Green, who made one free throw then missed his second with 4.1 seconds left, giving the Clippers yet another chance to tie it or win. Kawhi Leonard, however, grabbed the rebound, was fouled and made both shots to give the Spurs the three-point victory.

Jamal Crawford said the Clippers will put that heartbreaking loss behind them, and intimated that Clippers fans should expect to see a Game 7 in Los Angeles on Saturday.

"We can win anywhere," Crawford said. "I have total confidence in our team. Obviously, most people had us losing this series. But, for us, we feel like we have a great shot. We just have to go there and win and then come back home."
