Blake Griffin carries Detroit Pistons past Sacramento Kings, 106-90

SACRAMENTO, Calif. _ The Detroit Pistons received a temporary reprieve from their road woes on Monday night.

And Blake Griffin was the catalyst.

Griffin's 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists led the Pistons (31-39) to a 106-90 victory over the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center. It's the Pistons' first road win since defeating Brooklyn on Jan. 10.

The Pistons were 14-for-29 from 3-point range and snapped a three-game losing streak by winning the fourth game of this six-game western trip.

The Pistons used a 12-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter to take control and move to 10-25 on the road for the season.

Griffin was 3-for-5 from 3-point range.

Ish Smith added 18 points and Reggie Bullock scored 17 points.

Stanley Johnson was inserted back into the starting lineup and finished with 11 points.

Buddy Hield scored 20 points for the tanking Kings (23-49).
