Blake Griffin brought up LaVar Ball to win a ‘Toast Battle’ with FS1’s Kristine Leahy

Back in May of 2017, LaVar Ball directed sexist comments at FS1 personality Kristine Leahy on air and sparked a firestorm. In the two years since, Leahy has moved on from the incident and LaVar has turned “Stay in yo lane” into an actual Big Baller Brand catchphrase.

So, when it comes to a “Toast Battle” (really, roast), LaVar was fair game for Blake Griffin.

The Pistons All-Star joined Leahy’s Fair Game on FS1 this week, and the show started off with the “Toast Battle.” Basically, the point was to roast the competitor while delivering the zinger as a champagne toast. Leahy got the segment started with a few rehearsed jabs for Griffin’s playoff struggles, Clippers trade and history of ex-girlfriends.

Griffin needed just one toast to win.

“To … LaVar Ball.”

That was game over.

Griffin, of course, has experience in both standup comedy and roast battles, so Leahy could have expected a formidable opponent.
