Blake Bortles agreed to a one-year deal with the LA Rams and Twitter had jokes

Blake Bortles has a new home, as he’s agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the defending NFC champion Los Angeles Rams.

The former Jacksonville Jaguars starter, who was cut last week by the team that took him with the No. 3 overall pick in 2014, will serve as the backup for Jared Goff, who helped lead the team to the Super Bowl last season.

Bortles came a fourth-quarter collapse away two years ago from leading the Jaguars to the Super Bowl but then had a brutal 2018 season in which he had 13 TD passes and 11 interceptions in 12 starts.

The BOAT will now get a chance to work with offensive guru Sean McVay and the Rams, albeit in a backup role, at least for this season:
