Blairhill: Emergency services respond to incident at train station near Coatbridge

Emergency services have been called to deal with an incident at Blairhill train station.

At 7.20pm this evening (Saturday), Scotrail Tweeted about the incident, near to Coatbridge, advising that disruption to train services was expected.

The rail operator has since advised train services are returning to normal, without divulging any further details of the incident.

Scotrail commented: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Blairhill, disruption is expected. Services through the station will be delayed or revised."

They later said: "Train services through Blairhill are now returning to normal. We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused to your journey with us tonight."

Glasgow Live have contacted British Transport Police for comment.
