Blairdardie Road police incident: man rushed to hospital after attack

A man has been rushed to hospital after being attacked in the Blairdardie area of Glasgow.

Police descended on the scene where they currently remain.

Emergency services responded shortly after 6.20pm this evening after reports a man had been assaulted on Blairdardie Road.

The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital. His condition is currently unknown at present.

Officers remain on the scene and a spokeswoman for the force says enquiries into the incident is currently ongoing.

Glasgow Live understands Blairdardie Road is currently closed.

A Police spokeswoman said: "Around 6.20pm on Monday 10 May, 2021, police received a report a man had been assaulted in Blairdardie Road, Drumchapel.

"Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to hospital (QEUH).

"Officers remain on the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
