Blackpool Pleasure Beach looking for someone to test its rollercoasters

Thrill-seekers will be waiting in anticipation for theme parks up and down the country to open up ahead of the new season. But one lucky candidate could score the dream job of testing out rides before anyone else.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is recruiting someone to be a Rollercoaster Test Rider. The successful candidate will need an "exceptional sense of fun and excitement".

They will ensure the major rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach offer the necessary thrill factor ahead of the new season on March 18. The successful applicant will test out all 10 of the park's rides.

They will test each ride numerous times reporting on a number of key factors such as speed, thrills and excitement levels. They will feedback on how the rides can be improved to boost the fun factor.

They will work alongside the operations department to come up with fun ideas for future projects. And will even have the chance to travel to other European theme parks to see how Blackpool Pleasure Beach can work on other rides.

Applicants must be 16 years or older and at least 132cm tall. They will need a good head for heights and a strong stomach. Previous experience of riding rollercoasters is required.
