Blackpool Pleasure Beach is letting emergency services staff go free this Sunday

Our everyday superheroes are being offered a free day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach this weekend.

Anyone who works in emergency services will get free entry to the attraction on Sunday, April 28 to mark National Superhero Day.

The only catch is they must be visiting with a paying adult.

National Superhero Day has been running since 1995 and aims to honour the world’s most loved role models, both fictional and real, all of whom spend their days fighting against evil whilst serving to protect.

Park bosses want the UK’s real-life superheroes, working within fire, police, ambulance and coastguard services, to enjoy the day free of charge.

Amanda Thompson OBE, managing director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, said: "We value the incredible roles those in the emergency service sector play, risking their own lives and helping others every day and wanted to give something back.

"We’re proud to announce our exclusive free superhero tickets and hope as many people as possible can take advantage for a fun fuelled, family day out.”

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has 10 rollercoasters to choose from, including its newest addition Icon - the UK’s first double launch rollercoaster - which opened last year , The Big One, which offers high-speed drops and breathtaking views, and the one loop Revolution.

To gain free entry on Sunday, proof of identification will be required upon arrival. This will be accepted in the form of a work identification card or pass.
