NASHVILLE, Tenn. _ Vinnie Hinostroza had a goal and an assist, and Anton Forsberg made 42 saves for the Blackhawks on Tuesday during their 2-1 victory against the Predators at Bridgestone Arena, their second in a row.
After going without a shot on goal the previous five games, David Kampf recorded his second score in three shots on just 3 minutes, 3 seconds into the first period to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
The Predators' Kyle Turris sandwiched a goal between them when he beat Anton Forsberg 2:12 into the second period to tie the score at 1.
Neither Predators All-Star goalie Pekka Rinne nor forward Filip Forsberg (15 goals, 19 assists) played. Forsberg has been on injured reserve with an upper-body injury since Dec. 30 and Rinne was resting.
The Blackhawks remained four points and four teams out of the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
They are 24-19-7 with 55 points,
The Predators lost in regulation for the first time since Jan. 2.
