BRIEF: Thursday's recap: Senators 4, Blackhawks 3 (OT)

Dec. 04--On a night when Patrick Kane tied a franchise record by recording a point in his 21st consecutive game, the Hawks dropped their third in a row as they were topped by the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in overtime Thursday night at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Mike Hoffman scored the game-winner in OT to lift the Senators over a Hawks team that fell to 13-9-4 on the season and remains plagued by an unbalanced offense as the line of Kane, Artemi Panarin and Artem Anisimov accounted for all the scoring.

Hoffman had two goals and an assist, Bobby Ryan a goal and two assists, Mark Stone scored and Erik Karlsson added three assists for the Senators, who snapped a two-game losing skid. Kane and Panarin each finished with a goal and two assists and Anismov added a goal and an assist.

Changes

Coach Joel Quenneville mixed up the lines -- again -- as he had Teuvo Teravainen up on the top line with Marian Hossa and center Jonathan Toews.

Big number

900: Hawks defenseman Michal Rozsival skated in his 900th career regular-season game.
