Blackhawks lose Duncan Keith to ejection, late lead to Flames in fifth straight loss

The Flames scored twice in 66 seconds late in the third period _ the latter coming on an own goal by Artem Anisimov _ to complete a comeback and send the Blackhawks to a 5-3 loss at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.

The Hawks are 0-4-1 in their last five games and lost all three games on their road trip to Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. They were outshot 41-15.

The Hawks led most of the game despite losing Duncan Keith to an ejection 2 minutes, 14 seconds into the game after he was called for boarding and received a game misconduct. The Flames scored on the ensuing five-minute power play that was extended nearly two minutes due to a coaching malfunction.

The Hawks failed to send a player to the penalty box, so they had to continue with only four skaters until a whistle blew 1:47 after the penalty ended.

Jonathan Toews and Jan Rutta scored in the first period, and Brandon Saad added another in the second to give the Hawks a 3-1 lead. Matthew Tkachuk pulled the Flames within one at the 1:34 mark of the second then Sean Monahan tied it with 6:01 left in the third.

Former Hawk Michael Frolik was credited with the winning goal. He shot the puck from behind the Hawks net and it hit Anisimov's stick and flipped over goalie Corey Crawford's shoulder and into the net. Mikael Backlund added an empty-net goal for the Flames.
