GLENDALE, Ariz. _ Despite a few hairy moments in the second period, the Blackhawks snapped their three-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Coyotes.
Patrick Kane an Artemi Panarin each scored a goal and had an assist for the Hawks.
Kane got the scoring going at 8:44 when he fired a wrist shot past Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith on a power play. It was Kane's 16th goal of the season.
The Hawks wasted little time in adding to the lead when Ryan Hartman scored on a shot from up top that made it low through several players before beating Smith at 9:56.
Then Marian Hossa scored the Hawks' second power-play goal of the night as he sliced through the defense, took a feed from Panarin and made a move on Smith to score his 19th goal of the season.
But the second period wasn't as kind to the Hawks, who lost focus and committed five penalties in the period. The Coyotes took advantage by scoring three goals, one on a 5-on-3 power play from Oliver Ekman-Larsson at 1:36.
The other two goals the Coyotes scored came thanks to deflections _ one from Christian Dvorak, who tipped in a shot from Shane Doan at 14:24 while Brendan Perlini scored on a shot that deflected off Bren Seabrook at 15:51.
The Hawks lone goal of the period came from Panarin, who scored on a one-timer off a feed from Artem Anisimov at 5:24 that gave the Hawks a 4-1 lead at the time.
