CHICAGO _ Jonathan Toews scored his first goal in almost a month, Artem Ansimov his first in almost two and the Blackhawks still lost their fourth in a row Thursday, 4-2 against the Stars, who swept the four-game regular-season series.
Toews' first goal in 12 games put the Hawks ahead 1-0 with 10 minutes, 53 seconds left in the first period. It was the end result of a nifty pass off the boards from Brent Seabrook.
But the Stars answered with a pair of quick goals in the second period.
The first came off the stick of Tyler Seguin with 14:16 left after Anthony Duclair's turnover.
Stephen Johns, a 2010 draft pick of the Hawks' who was traded with Patrick Sharp to the Stars in 2015, put the visitors ahead 59 second later with his seventh goal of the season.
With 7:12 left in the second, Brent Seabrook shot, but Anisimov scored a power-play goal on a rebound off the boards, his first in 14 games, though he spent a good chunk of that time on injured reserve.
The Stars regained the lead with 4.5 seconds left in the second after Duncan Keith's turnover at mid-ice turned into Tyler Pitlick's 10th goal of the season.
Seguin scored an empty-net goal late in third to assure the Hawks of their sixth straight loss at home.
Stars goalie Ben Bishop made 37 saves.
The Blackhawks fell to 24-22-8 and eight points behind the Wild for the second wild-card spot, with three teams between them. The Stars, who occupy the top wild-card spot, improved to 32-19-4.
