Blackhall Brawl charity boxing night in Stillorgan to raise funds for Pieta House and Movember Foundation

More than 30 trainee solicitors in Dublin are set to lace their boots and don gloves as they take part in a charity boxing night to raise mental health awareness.

The Blackhall Brawl is set to take place in the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan on December 3, with funds being raised in aid of Pieta House and the Movember Foundation.

It follows on from last year's successful event and the 32 participants are currently undergoing seven weeks of training with the Headon Boxing Academy.

There will be a capacity for 400 people on the night, but according to organisers tickets are in high demand and are expected to sell out quickly.

A GoFundMe has also been set up in aid of the event, with more than €2,000 raised in support of the charities.

It says: "Following 7 weeks of expert training under the tutelage and guidance of The Headon Boxing Academy, Irish boxing champions and Irish national boxing team representatives, we will host a unique and exhilarating alternative to the usual charity fundraiser.

"It promises to be an exciting night to remember for all involved!"

The event's Facebook page promises a live DJ on the night, along with plenty of prizes for those in attendance, and drink deals available to ticket-holders.

There will also be private transport to get the crowd to the event.

You can follow the Blackhall Charity fight night journey ahead of the event on their Instagram page. Tickets for the event are €25 and can be bought on Eventbrite.
