Pontus Jansson has given a new interview in which he talks about the highlights of his career and he couldn’t help but talk about Leeds United time and again.
The Sweden international moved to Brentford in the summer, but it was his former club that got the most mentions.
Speaking with The Sun, he was asked about the best managers he’s worked with, his favourite team-mates and his best goal among other careers highlights.
“I would say my goal against Blackburn [Rovers] with Leeds,” he answered when asked about his favourite goal.
“Was it two years ago? I scored in the 90th minute, 2-1. That was a nice one in front of like seven or eight thousand Leeds fans. Respect to Brentford but that was a nice one.”

Jansson, still an avid fan of his boyhood club Malmo FC, spoke about playing in the Champions League when he was first coming through, as well as representing his country in the World Cup.
Leeds, where he made over 100 appearances in three seasons, got the most frequent references, and despite some reported frictions behind the scenes he gave Marcelo Bielsa a special mention when asked about the best manager he’s worked under.
“I have to say Thomas [Frank, Brentford manager] now as he’s my coach now but if now Thomas I would say Bielsa.”
“I would say Gaetano Berardi at Leeds,” he added, on his best teammate. “He was like a fatherly style to me, even though he was only two years older than me.
“But he was always the one taking care of me in the tough, tough moments so I would say him.”
