Blackadders promotes six newly-qualified solicitors

Blackadders has promoted six newly-qualified solicitors to new roles, while also recruiting eight trainees.

Completing their two-year solicitor traineeship with the Scottish law firm are Bethany Buchanan, Emma Grunenberg, Fiona Knox, Faye Lipton, Paul Nash and Blythe Petrie; who all qualified this month.

Buchanan and Nash will join the corporate and commercial team in Dundee and Glasgow, while Grunenberg, Knox and Petrie will become part of the private client team in Aberdeen and Dundee.

Lipton will take up her role with the family law team, working across both the firm’s Dundee and Glasgow offices.

Blackadders' eight new trainees include Annie McNamara, Ethan Laing, Charlie Fletcher, Freddy Waller, Katy Sharpe, Kirsty McAuley, Ruairidh McKillop and Sze Ki Lam, who will work across the Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

Managing partner Johnston Clark said: “We congratulate all the newly-qualified solicitors on their achievements - not only have they made a valuable contribution to the firm since joining, but they have trained during one of the most challenging times ever due to the pandemic.

“Blackadders is committed to helping trainees, who are pivotal to the firm’s long-term vision for growth, carve out a successful career in the legal profession and our well-established training programme provides a solid platform towards achieving this.”

The eight new trainees take Blackadders total headcount to 231. The firm has offices in Aberdeen, Arbroath, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth.
