Black smoke seen billowing over Kingswood as fire starts in shed

Black smoke was billowing across Kingswood this afternoon after a blaze erupted in a garden shed.

Two fire crews from Kingswood and one from Hicks Gate attended the incident at 3:40pm today (Saturday).

They used high pressured hose reels to extinguish the flames.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 15:40 to a shed fire.

"Two crews from Kingswood and one from Hicks Gate attended.

"The cause of the fire is thought to be accidenital."

A spokesperson for Kingswood RFC spotted the smoke and took to social media.

They said: "Sounds like two fire engines have just left the station in Kingswood heading along the Ring Road towards Keynsham."
