In a concerted move to distance itself from its former links to Conrad Black, the company he founded, Hollinger International, has changed its name to Sun-Times Media Group. Its chief executive Gordon Paris, said the change reflects that "our company is looking to our future rather than the past." The group's holdings include the Chicago Sun-Times and more than 100 community newspapers in the Chicago area. Hollinger International was formerly controlled by Black through his control of Hollinger Inc. The two companies are now tied in numerous legal actions while Black and several other former executives are facing criminal charges. (Via CBC | Business News)
