Black Ops 7 Season 5 roadmap: New Multiplayer maps, 4 weapons, final Zombies map, and more

Black Ops 7 Season 5 launches on July 23, bringing new Multiplayer maps, four weapons, limited-time modes, the final chapter of the Zombies storyline, Endgame updates, and seasonal events.

Here’s all the content included in the full Black Ops 7 Season 5 roadmap, which is expected to be final full-scale seasonal update.

Full Black Ops 7 Season 5 roadmap

The BO7 Season 5 roadmap contains new content across every major game mode, with most additions arriving at launch on July 23 at 11am CT / 9am PT / 12pm PT and more releasing during the mid-season Reloaded update.

At Season 5’s launch, you can revisit Frequency, remastered from Black Ops 4, and Dig, the small-sized Black Ops 2 classic. The update also introduces Jubilee, a brand-new medium-sized map. During the mid-season update, Activision will release Turbo Tilt, a new small-sized map, along with Freerun: Descent, the latest addition to the game’s Freerun mode.

The fifth season also introduces new limited-time game modes:

• Overdrive Domination (available at launch) – Capture and defend objectives while earning stars for your team.
• Gauntlet Rush (available at launch) – Cycle through Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, Hardpoint, and Roulette while maintaining momentum.
• Cranked Moshpit (available at mid-season) – Eliminate enemies to keep your Cranked timer active or explode when it expires.

BO7 Zombies

The biggest Zombies addition is Rex Infernus, the final round-based DLC map in the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline, arriving during the mid-season update. Players will battle through the Warden’s corruption to end the narrative.

Season 5 also adds the following content at launch:

• Eidskallen Lighthouse Survival Map
• Directed Mode: Kowakujō
• Starting Room: Kowakujō
• Rogue Run: Astra Malorum

The mid-season Reloaded update expands the experience further with the return of Widow’s Wine Perk-a-Cola, the Fully Packed GobbleGum, and the Olympia shotgun and TR2 marksman rifle as Ultra-Rarity legacy weapons.

Black Ops 7 Endgame receives a new Assignment called Burn Run, tasking players with driving an explosive vehicle through 30 flaming checkpoints before time runs out.

Season 5 also introduces Exotic Ability Boosts, which are rare upgrades that enhance Major and Minor Abilities with bonuses such as shorter cooldowns, extra ammunition, increased damage effects, and improved overall performance. You can find these upgrades primarily in Nightmare locations.

Endgame remains free-to-play through the end of Season 5.

Here are the Season 5 weapons:

• FG42 assault rifle (launch, unlock via the Season 5 Battle Pass) – Full-auto assault rifle. Excellent damage and respectable rate of fire. Balanced by slower handling and short open-bolt delay.
• Gremlin SMG (launch, unlock via the Season 5 Battle Pass) – Full-auto dual submachine guns. Excellent mobility and firepower, limited at range by inability to ADS
• Mammoth LMG (in-season, event reward) – Full-auto light machine gun. Twin reciprocating barrels provide massive damage with manageable recoil. Slow rate of fire, mobility, and handling.
• Mace (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Melee weapon. High damage, long range, and slow attack speed.

Meanwhile, these are the Season 5 weapon attachments:

• Jager 45 Grid-Breaker Kit (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts the Jäger 45 into a recharging EMP device with improved movement speeds. Fires a localized blast that deals minor damage and disrupts enemy electronics.
• M34 Novaline Garand Conversion (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts weapon into a top-loaded semi-auto rifle with devastating firepower and accuracy complimented by a solid fire rate.
• EAM IR-VIZ Thermal Reflex (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – A lightweight thermal sight from EAM for improved visibility.
• M15 Mod 0 AMR .50 Cal Kit (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts the M15 MOD 0 to fire .50 caliber rounds for improved lethality at an impressive distance. Sacrifices fire rate and recoil control for raw power.

Season 5 features multiple limited-time events across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.

• Machine of War – Earn trophies to unlock the Mammoth LMG, universal weapon camos, reticle, loading screen, and additional cosmetic rewards.
• Treyarch 30th Anniversary – Log in daily to earn the Treyarch 30th calling card, emblem, and the “Gunniversary” MK35 ISR weapon blueprint.
• Eidskallen Leaderboard Event ( BO7 Zombies exclusive) – Climb the leaderboard and earn themed rewards, including the Harbinger and Ragnarök universal weapon camos, “Wake Up Call” DS20 Mirage weapon blueprint, and extra cosmetics.
• Additional mid-season events, including the Ranked Series Event and a Freerun Leaderboard Event
