Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is having its open beta right now, and we have a fair idea of what’s coming, as details surrounding the BO7 Season 1 roadmap have been revealed.
With BO7‘s global launch set on Nov. 14, 2025, Activision and Treyarch have a lot in store for season one. The exact start date is yet to be officially announced, but we can expect it to drop within a month after the launch, considering past CoD titles.
Activision has confirmed this post-launch cycle will be the largest, as it will feature major multiplayer expansions, new Zombies experiences, and full integration with Warzone, including a new Resurgence map and sweeping system-wide updates.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Black Ops 7 Season 1 roadmap.
BO7 Season 1 roadmap
New maps, game modes, weapons, and more
Season 1 will introduce four new 6v6 multiplayer maps, namely Vertigo Remaster, Nuketown 2025, Meltdown Remaster, and Yemen Remaster. All of them are 6v6 maps and will expand on the already impressive lineup of maps at launch. In terms of game modes, we will get Overload with the first major season, along with Skirmish.

Expect at least two new Zombies Survival maps and a fresh round-based Zombies map, giving both co-op and solo players more options than ever. Map expansions are completely free to all players. Speaking of Zombies, there will be new perks to enjoy, along with the Cursed Mode and Dead Ops Arcade 4.
You can also expect new weapons, operator bundles, and earnable progression rewards to drop in Season 1, along with a fresh battle pass, ensuring both casual and competitive players have reasons to grind.
Coming to Warzone, the integration with the main game will take place from Season 1, while introducing a new Resurgence map called Haven’s Hollow. We’ll also get Rebirth Island Refresh with this new update, plus more POIs on Verdansk, such as Signal Station (this is a new one) and Factory (this is a remastered model).
For the game modes, we will have Battle Royale, Resurgence, Ranked Play, Plunder, and Casual. Apart from that, there will be new melee weapons, weekly challenges, and a lot more.
Will there be limited-time events?

Yes, throughout BO7 Season 1, players can participate in time-limited in-game events and unlock themed cosmetics by completing challenges, similar to previous Call of Duty games.
Like always, there will be mandatory “Reloaded” mid-season updates to bring tweaks, bug fixes, and expansions beyond the roadmap’s first phase.
Activision will reveal more details about these events as the first season approaches. In the meantime, check out the Black Ops 7 open beta end dates and times.
