A special kids Black Lives Matter protest is being held in Keynsham next week.
Hollie Monteiro is hosting the event to ensure her daughter Tanmer, four, and other kids, receive a better education about racism than she had.
The mum-of-one said her parents and school did not teach her about equal rights or slavery.
"I'm White British and I've never experienced racism in my life, I don't understand how hard is it," said the 31-year-old.
"It's up to people like me to say this isn't right and shouldn't be happening.
"To not just read about something and say 'oh that's awful' and then forget about it.
"It's important to stand up for each other -that's how to make change happen.
"We plan to make posters with our kids this week and on Monday walk with them in support of the BLM movement, justice for George Floyd and the many before him.
"It will be a very peaceful event, just for young children."
Hollie, from Bath, has already talked to her Tanmer about protests across the globe since George Floyd was killed.
Demonstrations have taken place around the world following the death of Mr Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25.
Police officer Derek Chauvin faces charges of second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter and has been suspended from the force.
Since Mr Floyd's death, figureheads from the around the globe have taken the knee to show their solidarity in combating racism.
And on Sunday in Bristol, a statue of slave trader Edward Colston was torn down during a dramatic Black Lives Matter protest.
"I was looking online for somewhere I could take Tanmer but there didn't seem to be anything for kids," said Hollie. "She may not understand it all now but looking back she'll remember she was there.
"It's going to mean a lot more to her to actually take part then just hearing about something.
"It's important for her to see that we all need to stand up for each other."
Hundreds of families are expected to take part on the day after the event has been shared by Instagram stars Debbie Towie and Three in a Row.
When and where will it take place?
The protest is being hosted at Keynsham Park between 2pm and 3pm on Monday (June 15). Protesters are urged to wear masks and to stay two metres apart from other households.
