Black Friday London theatre tickets 2018: Best deals for musicals, plays and West End shows

Black Friday is about more than hurtling into your nearest megastore to fight someone for a telly – you can grab some pretty impressive bargains on theatre tickets too.

Many of the West End’s biggest shows are offering some cracking discounts, which you can find out about here, with even more on offer at eveningstandardtickets.co.uk.

42nd Street

(Brinkhoff & Moegenburg)

Time is running out to see this grand spectacle, as it’s leaving the West End on January 5. Luckily for you, tickets are 50 per cent off for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane show so you can get your fill of timeless tunes and high kicks for a whole lot less. Buy tickets

Kinky Boots

Strut on over here ASAP. Kinky Boots is another show we’ve not got for much longer. Tickets start at £17.50, and the top band of seats usually at £69.50 are reduced to £39.50 if you’re booking for performances before December 24. It’s a real feelgood night out, telling the true tale of a drag queen who steps in to save a failing shoe business. Buy tickets

Chicago

It’s the name on everybody’s lips. For a deal Billy Flynn would be proud of, pick up tickets to Chicago from £25. The offer is only available to book on Black Friday itself so make sure you’re quick. RuPaul's Drag Race and YouTube star Todrick Hall is in Flynn's shoes until January. Buy tickets

Bat Out of Hell

(Specular)

Heaven can wait, because Jim Steinman’s Meat Loaf musical turns it up to eleven. With tickets starting at only £15 and £69.50 seats reduced to £39.50, you’ll do anything for tickets (but you won’t do that). Buy tickets

Caroline, or Change

Musical theatre queen Sharon D Clarke is starring in this bombastic musical set in civil rights era Louisiana. Grab a great deal here as all Band A-C tickets are down to £35 (a big saving from the top tier’s £65). Buy tickets

Dreamgirls

And I am telling you, this is a bargain. Don your sparkliest gown for Dreamgirls for this tale of three young singers on the cusp of stardom. For the biggest bargain, Band A seats, usually £72.50, are reduced to £42.50 if you go before December 20. Buy tickets
