Carphone Warehouse has launched a ten day “Black Tag” event in the runner up to Black Friday to take panic out of the shopping binging day itself.
The mobile phone retailer with over 2,400 stores across Europe joined the likes of Amazon and Argos with offers running from Monday November 23 until December 2 inclusive.
The Black Tag event will feature significant savings on popular brand mobile phones (including Samsung and HTC) on selected contracts, as well as pay as you go and SIM free offers.
As part of the event the company has also launched its midweek ‘Spike Deal’ – available on Wednesday November 25th and Thursday November 26 only - offering £200 saving on the Sony Z5 Compact complete with a free pair of headphones worth £99.
Stretching out the discounts for longer than before gives customers more chance to get the deals they want, according to the retailer.
“Feedback from our customers revealed that one day simply isn’t enough. They need time to research and consider – they don’t appreciate a one day panic. That’s why we created Black Tag; it allows us to offer big savings over a longer period so that customers have more chances to get the deal that is perfect for them,” Jeremy Fennell, Managing at Carphone Warehouse said.
