Black Friday 2018: Best TV Deals From Kohl's, JCPenney And Dell

This post was created by the Contributor in partnership with BestBlackFriday.com, which specializes in holiday season sales. The deals highlighted within this post were independently selected and do not contain affiliate links.

With the Black Friday sales now almost upon us, more and more of the major retail players are starting to reveal details of their hottest deals. Including some tasty prices on my own personal area of expertise, television sets.
The latest trio of Black Friday destinations to unveil their sales season TV goodies are Kohl’s, JCPenney and Dell. Their deals aren’t as numerous as those unveiled by Target and Costco, but  there are some substantial price cuts among them. Around 40% in a couple of cases.
It’s worth remembering, too, that the ‘Kohl’s Cash’ voucher system can give you further substantial discounts on subsequent purchases from the store, making its TV deals potentially look even more attractive. Details of this scheme can be found on the full Kohl’s Black Friday advert, published on BestBlackFriday.com.
JCPenney, meanwhile, is offering $500, $100 and $10 coupons to early visitors to its stores on Thursday 22nd, when its Black Friday sales open. Again, full details of these coupons can be found on the full JCPenney Black Friday ad shown on this link.

Dell is offering a massive discount on the Sony 65X850F.

Dell, too, is offering Promo eGift Cards with some of its offers – including a deal on a 65-inch LG LED TV. Once more, full details can be found in this full Dell Black Friday Ad.
Without further ado, here, arranged by store, are the best Kohl’s, JCPenney and Dell Black Friday TV deals. Read on below for my personal pick of the sets getting the discount treatment.

Clearly the Sony XBR-65X850F being sold at Dell stands out on this list thanks to the huge amount of discount that’s going to be applied to it. I’d have to say, though, that it’s not a particularly great TV. To see why, check out the review I did of an X850F earlier this year.

The LG 65UK6090 for just $599.99 from Dell looks intriguing too – especially with its extra $100 gift card thrown in. However, while I haven’t tested this TV, it does use the same sort of low-contrast IPS screen technology that caused issues on the Sony set.
So if you want to guarantee decent picture quality for your money, your best bets for me would be Dell’s VIZIO E50-F2 (which uses superior direct lighting with local dimming illumination system), and the two Samsung 6-series models.
