Blac Chyna's split from Derrick Milano was a 'healthy break-up'

Blac Chyna has insisted splitting from her fiance was amicable

Blac Chyna's split from Derrick Milano was a "healthy break-up" and the decision was "mutual".

The 37-year-old reality TV star had been preparing to tie the knot with Derrick, 31, after getting engaged in 2023 but she announced their split in July and she has now insisted parting ways was amicable and the are still "really good friends".

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she explained: "First of all, it was mutual, and I feel sometimes in life people try to hold on to certain things but, I’m going in a different direction than Derrick - like we’re both doing our own things and I feel like I just really need to focus on myself, my kids and my spirituality.

"But also we're also really good friends still. I'll still call [him] ... "

She also insisted there was no infidelity, explaining the former couple were just on different paths.

Blac Chyna added: "Nothing happened. Nobody cheated. It was like an ongoing thing ... [We were] growing in different directions for sure and I feel like it’s really healthy, too.

"Sometimes people stay in relationships too long ... Then that’s toxic and then you start to grow this hatred towards the next person when it shouldn’t be that way. And also me and Derrick were friends before ... it’s a very healthy break-up."

When asked how her two children from previous relationships are handling the split, she added: "I keep them out of it ... "

Chyna was previously engaged to rapper Tyga - the father of her son King Cairo, 12 - together but they called it quits in 2014 after just under three years together.

She was then engaged to reality TV star Rob Kardashian, with whom she has seven-year-old daughter Dream, but they split in 2017.

At the time of her split from Derrick, Chyna announced the news in a post on Instagram, which read: "After much prayer and reflection, Derrick and I have decided to call off the engagement.

"We love each other deeply and are good friends, but we both believe that God’s guidance has shown us that this is the right path for both of us, as we each continue our journeys."
