‘BJP should sack Goa CM if he doesn’t resign’

PANAJI: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Tuesday said the government has no right to continue and demanded the resignation of chief minister Pramod Sawant. He said that President’s rule should be imposed in the state.

The independent MLA said that it is not the opposition that has levelled the charges against the CM but former Goa governor Satya Pal Malik, who has “connection with the RSS”.

“The chief minister has to gracefully resign or BJP should sack him along with other ministers involved in the corruption,” he said.

Khaunte said that during his interaction with Malik when he was Goa governor, he had “said that he had never seen such a corrupt government.” “Through the interview Malik has once again confirmed how deeply this government is embroiled in corrupt practices,” he said.
