BHOPAL: BJP and Congress are gearing up for the municipal polls fight. BJP would come up with a separate manifesto in all 16 municipal corporations of the state. Congress, on the other hand, would release separate vachan patra as well as arop patra for all the municipal corporations.
The manifesto, vachan patra and arop patra would be released after the party finalizes its candidates. Congress has finalized its list of candidates while BJP is would finalize it in next two days.
The BJP and Congress leaders pointed out that issues are different in cities. BJP state secretary Rajneesh Agrawal said, “People have seen the congress’ 15 months rule in state and there is no substance in opposition coming out with arop patra. Under BJP rule, MP cities have been ranked top in different parameters. The infrastructure projects, cleanliness, beautification works done in MP by the BJP has been seen and acknowledged at the national level.
Congress state media head KK Mishra said, “Vachan patra would be brought at the local level to highlight the party's vision and commitment to the people. In arop patra, the congress would tell people what BJP did in its rule in the state.”
