Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rewards hate speech and mentioned Goshamahal legislator T.Raja Singh’s revocation of suspension by that party as an example.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president took to X, formerly Twitter, and posted, “.@narendramodi has rewarded his dear “fringe element.” Quite sure that Nupur Sharma will also get her blessings from the PM. Hate speech is the fastest way to a promotion in Modi’s BJP.”
Mr.Singh was suspended from the BJP for “objectionable” comments about Prophet Muhammed in August 2022. His suspension was revoked on October 22 after the BJP’s central disciplinary committee, reportedly satisfied by his explanation, decided to revoke his suspension.
