RAIPUR: Eying to capture the tribal belt in the next assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, BJP president J P Nadda is arriving in Bastar district on February 11 to address a public rally at the railway ground in Jagdalpur.
As the 12 seats of the Bastar division have been playing a crucial role in the formation of the government in Chhattisgarh, these seats remain a priority for them.
Nadda will also attend several other events during his Bastar visit.
Nadda had last visited Chhattisgarh in September to participate in the events of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and of the party’s state unit and he stayed there for four days. It was Nadda’s first visit to the Congress-ruled state after taking charge as BJP’s national president.
Meanwhile, his visit to Bastar is being described as crucial to boosting the morale of the party workers ahead of the assembly elections at a time when political parties including the ruling Congress and opposition BJP are gearing up for the elections. History of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh says the 12 constituencies of Bastar division have been playing an important role.
Ahead of Nadda’s visit, senior BJP leaders of Chhattisgarh are holding a series of meetings to make strategies for the success of the rally which will set the state for the party’s campaigning.
