Some organisational changes are likely in the BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit, with discussions being held on shuffling the office-bearers. This was among the issues discussed by the core committee at a meeting held on Wednesday.
Party sources said there were also discussions on preparing the party for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, strengthening the organisation at the booth level and conducting important party events like the foundation day.
“There was a healthy discussion on all the issues. The views of all the leaders were sought by president K. Annamalai and Tamil Nadu in-charge C.T. Ravi. The leadership is very keen to take all the leaders along,” one of the participants told The Hindu.
In the coming days, the party will highlight people’s issues such as agriculture and water problems to take on the ruling DMK, the leader said.
